PURE Academy offers hip hop classes to students age 4 to 18 years old at locations across Southwestern Ontario.

Hip Hop is a street dance style with popular movement performed to Hip Hop or rap type music. Hip Hop classes are popular because of their high-energy music and movement components. Hip Hop dancers may also be exposed to street dance and tricks/break dancing type movement qualities and techniques furthering enriching the overall Hip Hop experience.

Hip Hop classes are offered at all 4 PURE Academy locations in Chatham, Wallaceburg, Lakeshore, and LaSalle.

What is Hip Hop dancing?

Hip Hop class levels at PURE

PURE Academy offers hip hop classes at the following levels:

  • Mini Hip Hop (ages 4.5 to 7.5, all 4 locations)

  • Junior Hip Hop (ages 7.5 to 10.5, all 4 locations)

  • Intermediate Hip Hop (ages 10.5 to 13.5, all 4 locations)

  • Teen/Senior Hip Hop (ages 13.5 to 18, all 4 locations)

Hip Hop dress code

Dancers can wear any street style, loose-fitted clothing that they can move in.

Footwear is clean, white indoor sneakers. Please, no dirty shoes!

How to register for hip hop classes at PURE:

  1. Choose your location.

  2. Find the class you want to take.

  3. Enroll your student - Note we have 10 equal "session charges" as your tuition is broken down into 10 equal payments. Our dance season runs from Mid September to Early June.
